OnProtector Morón's New Anti-Penetration Insoles

At Grupo Morón, we develop innovative technical textiles with the aim of improving the comfort, resistance and safety characteristics of textile materials currently available on the market, while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental sustainability throughout all our manufacturing processes.

Once again, we have succeeded in going one step further with our puncture-resistant textile solutions. We recently obtained the first international patent EP17159327.0 for the manufacture of single-layer anti-penetration insoles.

This technological breakthrough enables Grupo Morón to produce lighter and more flexible products while achieving enhanced performance in the demanding resistance tests required by the latest revisions of EN ISO 22568-4:2021 (non-metallic anti-perforation inserts) and EN ISO 20345:2021 (safety footwear), which are significantly more demanding than previous versions.

The new innovative onProtector range consists of four products: Graphene, Diamond, Titanium and Helium, each offering different characteristics to suit specific applications and performance requirements.

OnProtector Graphene. First International Single-Layer Patent

Its single-layer construction and minimum thickness make it the most flexible and advanced reference in the range. Protected by international patent EP17159327.0, it is the only single-layer anti-penetration insole currently available on the market.

In addition, it incorporates our aramid reinforcement treatment, providing an extra level of resistance, durability and safety.

Maximum resistance combined with outstanding lightness delivers superior protection and exceptional comfort. The inclusion of recycled yarns supports the circular economy and reinforces our commitment to environmental responsibility.

OnProtector Diamond

High protection and safety in a dual-layer construction with double aramid reinforcement. It offers excellent resistance, lightweight performance and comfort in all working environments. Manufactured with recycled yarn fibers, it reflects our commitment to sustainability.

OnProtector Titanium

A highly resistant dual-layer solution suitable for multiple applications. It delivers outstanding protection without compromising flexibility or lightweight performance. It contains recycled natural fibers and is produced through a manufacturing process that is fully environmentally responsible.

OnProtector Helium

This reference stands out for its exceptional lightness and comfort. Developed using a special material that provides resistance and protection while maintaining outstanding flexibility. Manufactured with high-tenacity polyethylene fibers.

Technical Features

onProtector exceeds the demanding puncture-resistance requirements established by EN ISO 22568-4:2021, both under standard conditions and under adverse environmental conditions, including exposure to the chemical agents specified in the standard.

Despite their remarkable flexibility and lightweight construction, these products achieve outstanding mechanical performance in abrasion resistance and flex resistance tests, obtaining values well above those required by EN ISO 20345:2021 and delivering exceptional comfort highly appreciated by end users.

Thanks to their unique textile structure, they also achieve water absorption and water release values significantly higher than those specified by the standards, ensuring excellent breathability and helping to keep feet dry at all times.

In addition, all four products exhibit conductive behavior for electrical current dissipation, making them suitable for the manufacture of conductive, ESD and antistatic safety footwear.

Environment and Sustainability

At Grupo Morón, we are committed to a manufacturing model that minimizes environmental impact as much as possible. We continuously invest in tangible sustainability projects, including carbon-particle air filtration systems, wastewater treatment technologies and production improvement initiatives that optimize resources and positively contribute to the sustainability of our operations.

A large proportion of our materials are produced using recycled textile fibers that comply with the strictest European requirements regarding substances harmful to human health and the environment.

We operate a waste management system that recycles nearly 500 tonnes of materials every year. This philosophy is integrated into our Quality and Environmental Management System, certified according to UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNE-EN ISO 14001:2015, with objectives that go well beyond simple regulatory compliance.

In line with these principles, all onProtector anti-penetration textile products incorporate recycled fiber yarns. This approach promotes the circular economy and strengthens our commitment to environmental protection.

Throughout the entire manufacturing cycle, CO₂ emissions have been monitored and minimized, while vegetable-based water inks have been used for all graphic printing processes.
