Several members of the Biontech Fit&Run athletics team competed in the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso EDP Marathon on December 1, running with Biontech Superlight insoles, specifically designed for athletics performance.
In the unique setting of the “City of Arts and Sciences” in Valencia and with more than 25,000 participants, this experience was one that the Arnedo-based team will not forget easily. They completed the race with outstanding times and achieved new personal bests.
This 2019 edition also saw record-breaking performances, including the best marathon time ever recorded on Spanish soil, achieved by Ethiopian athlete Kinde Atanaw Aleyew (2:03:51).
In the women’s category, his compatriot Roza Dereje (2:18:30) lowered the course record by three minutes, and for the first time in history, four women finished under 2 hours and 19 minutes in the same race.
Custom-shaped using microwave adaptation to match the exact morphology of each runner’s foot, Biontech Superlight insoles significantly increase the foot’s support surface and redistribute plantar pressure.
In practice, this results in improved pronation control and reduced impact on the hip-knee-ankle chain, decreasing muscle fatigue and joint pain, and ultimately enhancing athletic performance.
As part of its Fit&Run Corporate Responsibility project, Grupo Morón supports athletics across all disciplines, including long-distance events and mountain running, promoting sport and healthy lifestyle habits.
